Earth Day Festival
We just got back from the Earth Day Festival. It was definitely fun. We went with a friend of mine & her daughter.
We all made necklaces out of circle pieces of trees that were saved from fallen trees from the ice storm here in Kentucky that we had back in January. And Elijah made these binoculars from recycled materials (toilet paper rolls, string, recycled painted papers).

I’ve always loved horses even though I’ve not had a chance to be around them except during petting zoos, little local carnivals or the Kentucky Horse Park. So I used Nevaeh as an excuse to ride one today. Of course, it was her first time on a horse but she did really well. She loved petting it’s hair during the ride. Elijah didn’t want to ride the horses. This was his second opportunity to ride one, but he’s scared to get on.

Elijah chose to ride in the stroller and Nevaeh walked almost all morning. It was really warm out and we all started to turn a little red and we didn’t bring along extra sunscreen, so we called it a day. We came home for lunch and now the kids have crashed, taking a nap — and now I’m going to join them!

Finally Spring Weather
We finally got some really great weather. We spent the last two days outside so I took the opportunity to get a few shots of the kids. Elijah is in a phase where he really dislikes the camera so it took a while just to get the couple of them that I did.
